They are tagged as Mike + The Mechanics on spotify and used to have the & I think. And so it causes an awkward redirect and also messes up the listening trend which shows people who scrobbles "Mike & The Mechanics" while many on the page will now scrobble "Mike + The Mechanics". Not 100% sure because I can't remember if they used to be tagged with the & or not but it's my theory.

The revised line-up headed by Roachford & Howar changes a little of the dynamic this band used to have. Which is not a bad thing necessarily, but there will always be magic in the years of Carrack & Young.

Звучат они так, будто бы Майк Резерфорд заставил Фила Коллинза звучать как MC5

Musicbrainz lists the band as "Mike + The Mechanics". Even if you search for "Mike & The Mechanics", it still brings you to "Mike + The Mechanics". Wikipedia lists the band as "Mike + The Mechanics". If you search for "Mike & The Mechanics", it redirects you to "Mike + The Mechanics". If you go to the band's webpage, the first thing you see is a banner that says, "Mike + The Mechanics", not "Mike & The Mechanics", and every blog entry on the home page labels them, "Mike + The Mechanics". If I were an objective observer, I'd say that the band's name is "Mike + The Mechanics", not "Mike & The Mechanics".

Sounds little bit similar to late Talk Talk stuff. Was Mike and the Mechanics an influence for them, or that's only my associations?
