The Caught Off Guard EP was the first studio recording of the Chicago band Don't Look Down, who would eventually change their name to Much The Same after a number of member changes. It was recorded in two days in 2001 at Sonic Iguana in Indiana, and released on Tank Records from Massachusetts, a small label run by A Wilhelm Scream's guitarist at the time. 1000 copies were pressed and sold, and the CD only included the first 6 tracks.
