"The Frozen Borderline: 1968-1970" is a two-disc compilation set released in 2007 by the record label Rhino. It consists of remastered versions of Nico's albums The Marble Index (1968) and Desertshore (1970) as well as demo tracks of many songs from these albums. There is also two previously unreleased songs recorded during The Marble Index era included on the album.

Nico (16 October 1938 – 18 July 1988) was a German model, actress, singer, and songwriter. She was born Christa Päffgen in Cologne, Germany. Nico started a successful career as a model in Berlin and Paris, studied acting at Lee Strasberg's New York Actor Studio.
