things aren’t that simple is a mixtape from rapper-producer Oliver Francis, initially released to his SoundCloud and Bandcamp accounts. Its release was preceded by three singles: “ssuurrffiinn,” “bape freestyle,” and “100 iPhones.” On the project, Oliver hones in on the distorted vocals and cloudy, lo-fi-sounding production that helped cement his early popularity in the underground.
