Ortigões is a portuguese Rock band from Vila Nova da Baronia, Beja, Portugal. The band was founded in the mid 90s by portuguese guitarist/songwriter Chico Baião. Ortigões gained regional fame in Alentejo during the second half of the 90s by playing shows in the area, and eventually recorded two albums, a split release with the portuguese band T3, dubbed "Agora Tentar Deixar", after Ortigões' most famous song; and their only full lenght album, "Serpente de Fogo", released in 1999.
