Paul von Schilhawsky (1918-1995) gave a great contribution to the Mozarteum of Salzburg, as an accompanist as well as a teacher for international level singers. He started his career at the Mozarteum as a student, then became teacher, then head of the school of opera, held a class of piano and singing as well, was from 1971 to 1979 manager and from 1972 to 1982 director of the International Summer Academy. In 1985, he received the Honorary Membership of the High School of the Mozarteum. He gave many master classes around the world.
