“Puppy Grin” tells a story about the narrator escaping a controlling relationship where the partner would walk all over him. While not officially released until 2020, “Puppy Grin” made its first major appearance during Peach Pit’s set at the CBC Music Festival in July of 2019. It was performed alongside “Psychics in L.A.”, which was not included on the original release of You and Your Friends, but was released on the deluxe edition.
