Play & Win is a Romanian Dance music trio formed in 2000, one of the leading music producers in Romania.
The band has consisted of Alexandru Barac (lead vocals), Marcel Botezan (backing vocals), and Radu Bolfea (backing vocals) for the majority of its existence. The band is also a leading producer having collaborated with many famous Romanian bands and singers over the years like Akcent, 3rei Sud Est, Cătălin Josan or Inna.
As singers they debuted in 2009 with the single Slow Motion and reached first place in Kiss FM's Fresh Top 40. It was one of the biggest hits of the spring in Romania. As producers they debuted in 2005 with the single Kylie for the Romanian band Akcent that was a huge hit in Europe reaching the top five positions in charts from Belgium, Sweden, Norway, Poland, Russia, Ukraine, and Turkey and first position in the Netherlands, Finland and Romanian charts.
The next band with which they collaborated was Activ, creating hits like Superstar, Dor, Heaven and Lucruri Simple. Other collaborations include 3rei Sud Est's Alături de Îngeri, Sistem's Oare unde eşti and Andra's We go crazy. Another hit that they composed Zero's Sunny Days came second in the Romanian national Eurovision Song Contest 2009 trials just after the winning The Balkan Girls of Elena Gheorghe.
Play & Win are also the masterminds behind three of the most popular artists in Romania today, Inna, Morris and DJ Bob Dylan. They were the producers of Inna's first album Hot which gave two hits Hot and Love, the first reaching first place in Romania, Bulgaria, Poland, Spain, Russia, Hungary, Turkey and Greece. The two hits were posted on YouTube and reached nearly 12 million views in under one year. Another hit they produced was Morris's Desire which reached fifth place in the Fresh Top 40. Play & Win have collaborated with DJ Bob Taylor (aka Fizz) in the creation of a new single called Deja Vu, which is interpreted by Bob Taylor and Inna, which is becoming a great hit in countries like Romania, Bulgaria, Russia and Hungary.
Play & Win are amongst the most prolific music producers in Romania having over 300 music singles registered at the Union of Composers in Romania.
