ScHoolboy Q addresses his thoughts on the current state of the hood and over all black community, addressing stereotypes on the culture. With the ever rising tensions between cops and black people, nobody is happy with the police and it’s going to take more than just people talking about it to change something. In order for the black community to proser, gangs need to stop killing each other and focus on the real problem. The track became even more relevant with the murders of Philando Castile and Alton Sterling, even though it was written a year prior.
