Effing love Summer Breeze. It's such a beautiful and gentle song... It reminds me of the 70s. There was a lot of shit going down in the 70s. Lots of mayhem and chaos, and the song struck me as the narrator coming home from work on a hot-airy day and secretly relieved that his love is safe and sound in the kitchen. And all the while the smell of jasmine is blowing in the wind...

I think this is my new old favorite band. I've always loved "Summer Breeze," but I'm exploring them further and it's good to hear they have a deep catalog of quality songs. "Hummingbird" reminds me of Fleet Foxes and Grizzly Bear, although I guess it should be that those bands remind me of Seals and Crofts...

This is music my parents played me throughout my childhood and I adore it so much. Sad to see that they get so little listeners.

I have down home on vinyl. Picked up from salvation army for 50 cents. Well worth it. Really only checked it because of John Hall and Bill Rich on bass, whom I know from Taj Mahal's band on Fillmore East. (Bill Rich currently still plays bass for Taj - saw them live and Bill had a ridiculous extended solo). But I must say the best tracks in my opinion are the ones with Bill Rich on bass. I like Leave a lot.
