"Pyramid" is a progressive rock album by "The Alan Parsons Project", released in 1978. At the time this album was conceived, interests in pyramids and so-called pyramid power was all the rage. A pyramid could be found on the back of a dollar bill, there were stories in the newspapers about the supposed magical properties of pyramids and of course, the cover of "The Dark Side of the Moon" (for which Parsons was the sound engineer). The Alan Parsons Project was a British rock group active from 1975 until 1990, founded by Alan Parsons and Eric Woolfson both from London, England. The group is based on a number of regular group members such as Stuart Elliot and Ian Bairnson, complemented with varying lead vocals such as Colin Blunstone (the Zombies), Chris Rainbow and Gary Brooker (Procol Harum).
