“Cash Race” is the ninth track from Tinashe’s project Songs For You, released on November 21, 2019. It was originally slated to be a part of Tinashe’s summer 2018 project Nashe, but has been shelved by RCA Records, as confirmed by the project’s executive producer, Hitmaka. Tinashe took to Twitter to share about what made her inspired to write the song, which she says: sometimes when ur sad you just wanna feel like a badass bitch, you know?
