“Wind” unites Trippie Redd with The Kid LAROI for their first official collaboration. It was initially previewed in early 2022, and later that year on fellow artist ericdoa’s Twitch livestream — where it was confirmed to be scrapped from LAROI’s debut album, THE FIRST TIME. On July 24, 2023, following A Love Letter To You 5’s tracklist being revealed, clips of the ericdoa stream were taken down by 10k Projects and 1400 Entertainment — due to Trippie’s labels gaining copyright ownership — confirming the new purpose of the former-throwaway.
