"Try Me" is a particularly beautiful if sad love song featuring a lead guitar backed by a string section; apart from John Miles, UFO are about the only rock act who have ever done this. According to vocalist Phil Mogg, the song was built by Paul Raymond and himself around a Michael Schenker guitar solo. "Try Me" was released by Chrysalis on three singles in 1977 and several times subsequently; the first time in both mono and stereo; the second single included an edit and the original album version, and the third was backed by "Gettin' Ready".
