Willie Nelson's single, "Uncloudy Day," is a social commentary on the value of friendship and man's innate desire for separating successful people (even if the success is temporary) with those more often achieving less fortunate happenings. With a deft concoction of the mostly sad lyrics placed over a connotatively upbeat melody, Nelson effectively achieves a fusion of melodic and lyrical harmony (albeit ironic) that this rather "faux-deep" synopsis of the tune completely fails to do.
