"Shauspiluden" is the first album from Wolgemut and features music from the 13th through 17th centuries. The songs and dances are played on a wide variety of bagpipes, shawms and percussion as well as quiet instruments such as harp, fiddle and flutes. This is the album which started it all! The Wolgemut sound is unique and is best described as "Historic World Music" Wolgemut (under the direction of Michael H. Gartner) takes historical and traditional melodies and adds a generous amount of new world verve. The end result is pure Renaissance Rock!
