As if caught in a field recording by an obcsure ethnomusicologist, "Love Song for Pigeons" manifests itself in ways that not many songs can. Fans of New Weird America might deem it "acid folk," while those uninitiated into the ever-increasing obscurities of the indie folk genre might imagine they are listening to some esoteric Balinese folk traditional. In an age of highly polished and produced music, this recording is an audio fieldtrip to greener pastures.
