Zwarte Poëzie is the ongoing band project of singer/songwriter Edwin van der Velde, a Dutchman currently living in Utrecht, The Netherlands. Zwarte Poëzie's music can be described as new wave or alternative rock, influenced mainly by British bands, though uniquely brought with neo-romantic Dutch lyrics. In their early days the band released a couple of demo's before producing their first succesfull cd, the EP 'Grijs Verleden' in 2007.
