Written by guitarist Brian May, "White Man" narrates the suffering of native Americans who were abused by European immigrants. Europeans took their lands by force, abused the natives and got rid of their customs and belief systems, imposing their own. The song, when played live on A Day At The Races Tour, focused on Mercury’s vocal solo performance, and in the News Of The World Tour also focused on May’s guitar solo. Its riff was used to introduce the song Fat Bottomed Girls on Queen’s 2005 Return Of The Champions Tour and 2008 Tour.
