"I Don't Wanna Live Forever (Fifty Shades Darker)" is a song single by English singer ZAYN and American singer-songwriter Taylor Swift. This is Swift's first release as a vocalist in 2016 after taking a 2 year break from music after her last record "1989" (2014). The single was released on December 9th, 2016 by Universal Music Group, and is the first single from the soundtrack for "Fifty Shades Darker", which is set to be in cinemas on February 9th, 2017.
The song was written specifically for the feature film by Swift, Jack Antonoff & Sam Dew and was produced by Antonoff.
Antonoff took to twitter to reveal some background information on how the song came about. He tweeted, "i don't wanna live forever came together very quickly. wrote it with taylor and sam dew and produced it at home mostly on paper sounds". "recorded taylor at my house. zayn sent parts from LA - we did it in a week basically. i've never had something come out that quick"
