Description
The 17th edition of Sonic Acts Festival takes place from 23 to 26 February 2017 in Amsterdam; titled The Noise of Being, the festival explores what it means to be human. It includes an exhibition, conference, performances, film programme, workshops, masterclasses and club nights at Paradiso, Stedelijk Museum, Muziekgebouw aan ‘t IJ, Bimhuis, De Brakke Grond, De School and Arti et Amicitiae.
On Friday 24 February Sonic Acts Festival hosts the XL edition of the only political party you can dance to. As a regular night for cutting-edge thinking and dancing, Progress Bar showcases urgent sounds and voices in underground club culture. The special Sonic Acts Festival edition on Friday 24 February is brimming with the most avant-garde artists, DJs and producers. Performances will take place across two rooms in Paradiso, while an installation from artist and designer Sam Rolfes can be experienced in the basement.
