The growing pains of this album were necessary to get everything that came after it. That being said, this is a great fucking album on its own terms. Has some nasty bangers like Deathcamp and Brown Stains, songs that could easily be in Flower Boy (Find Your Wings, Perfect), and some of his best songs ever to this day (Smuckers, Okaga and 2Seater). An essential part of his discography that I love very much

look i'm not saying that this album is a flawless masterpiece but some people treat this album like it slaughtered their family and pissed on their graves and i genuinely do not understand why. it's experimental, freaky and outside of fucking young there's not a single part of the album that really takes me out of the experience. pilot is a banger and TBSODL is one of the most underrated songs in his discography. and also the title track a MASTERPIECE and anyone who says otherwise just doesn't see the vision. i'd rank it in the middle of his discography but that speaks more to the quality of flower boy/igor/chromakopia than a detriment towards cherry bomb. anyways if you're reading this and you don't like this album i implore you to give it another chance and go in with an open mind and who knows maybe you'll change your mind, or don't, idk i'm just some bitch on lastfm i'm not your mom

also btw the original album cover isn't even that bad, y'all are just quick to overreact (and it acts as a good litmus test as to whether or not you'll enjoy the rest of the album, now that i think about it)

it seems now that tyler performed some of this album for the tour a lot of the haters have now turned into fans of this album, y'all fake as fuck. this album has always been good, i said on my twitter that this features some of his best work feature and beat wise, the smuckers beat switch with the wayne feature is fucking insane. i really hope he does something for the 10th anniversary next month like he did with wolf in 2023. it's so fucking good, by far one of his best. i wish it got the shine it deserved
