Psofioi Korioi (Ψόφιοι Κοριοί in Greek) were founded in the winter of 1996 in Xathi, Greece by: Vaggelis Neratzas (Βαγγέλης Νεραντζάς) (vocals) , Fanis Valiazis (Φάνης Βαλιάζης)(guitar), Dimitris Mitafidis (Δημήτρης Μυταφίδης)(drums). Later George Krallis (Γιώργος Κράλλης) (bass) was added to the lineup replacing the former bassist Manousos Nikolaides (Μανούσος Νικολαϊδης).
