Geffen is known for his politically controversial and anti-social lyrics and behavior; he is also known for an androgynous appearance reminiscent of David Bowie. Apart from a 12-year solo career, Geffen is also a member of Blackfield, a collaboration with Porcupine Tree frontman Steven Wilson.
