'Cause growing pains are keeping me up at night

“Growing Pains” is the first supporting-single from Alessia Cara’s sophomore album, The Pains of Growing. The title of the song comes from her brother, Dario, who was in his teen years at the time. He was telling her about some pain he was experiencing, saying it was “growing pains.” She remembered those two words, and thought they were perfect for the song.
