Almost Clancy was formed early in 2009 by Baker (formerly of Speed Limit Seven, Sex and Steel Wool, & Much More Chill) and Green (formerly of Speed Limit Seven, Sex and Steel Wool, Crimson Shift, & MU_120). They had been discussing collaborating on a new project. Newcomer Brian Lucas joined the band in February after meeting Green as members of the Ice Road Puckers Hockey team.
