Blue Rev is the third album by the Canadian indie band Alvvays, released on October 7, 2022 via Polyvinyl and Transgressive. It was produced by Shawn Everett along with Alvvays’ vocalist and guitarist Molly Rankin and guitarist Alec O’Hanley. The album was announced on July 6, 2022 along with the lead single “Pharmacist”. The rest of the singles were “Easy On Your Own?”, “Belinda Says”, “Very Online Guy” and “After The Earthquake”. Alvvays are a Grammy-nominated Canadian dream pop band formed in Prince Edward Island, Canada in 2011. Reverb-drenched and bittersweet, Alvvays members Molly Rankin (daughter of the late John Morris Rankin of popular Canadian Celtic folk band The Rankin Family) and Kerri MacLellan were childhood friends, who played music together while growing up in Cape Breton, Nova Scotia, Canada in the 1990s and 2000s.
