Biography
Anne Martin & Ingrid Henderson is the pairing of Scots Gaelic singer Anne Martin and Scottish traditional musician Ingrid Henderson.
Martin's singing has been described by "The Scotsman" newspaper as "awesomely beautiful" with her style of singing Gaelic traditional songs coming "straight from the heart". Henderson, being an accomplished harpist and pianist and past winner of the BBC2 Young Tradition Award, has various albums as a duo with her brother Allan Henderson and has played with many different musical outfits at festivals throughout Europe and North America.
The pair began working together when they met as part of a larger ensemble at Celtic Connections in 1996 and have performed as a duo at many festivals throughout Scotland as well as a tour of Holland in 1998 and of the Czech Republic in 1999.
