After having spent much of his youth listening to hip-hop and euro-dance, and other pop music, Anton Banks became exposed to independent and underground music during his time at University. He found that he especially liked the beats and rhythms found in pop music but was becoming increasingly disinterested in the lyrics. Looking for something different, he borrowed a compilation CD from a friend. That CD was the seminal "Moove Your Body" release on Tribal America Artists.
