A história do quarteto Arautos do Rei, começa juntamente com o primeiro programa evangélico do rádio brasileiro, A Voz da Profecia, tendo como apresentador, o pastor Roberto Rabello. O programa é produzido pela Igreja Adventista do Sétimo Dia, desde 1943. É verdade que o mesmo programa já existia nos Estados Unidos, e os Arautos do Rei também já existiam lá. Em 1962, foi formado o quarteto Arautos do Rei brasileiro. Fizeram parte dos Arautos do Rei 37 cantores e 16 pianistas, compondo 22 formações.
