"In Hearing of" is the third album by British rock band Atomic Rooster, released in August 1971. The band's hit single "Devil's Answer", while released just prior to the album, was not included. The US version of the track (with Pete French overdubbed vocals) was included for the US release of the album. The backing tracks (and some vocals) were recorded by Vincent Crane, John Cann and Paul Hammond, but Cann and Hammond were let go from the group soon after vocalist Pete French was drafted in. Atomic Rooster was a British early 1970s touring hard rock/progressive rock band which continued on and off for a decade. The band was founded by the late British blues pianist Vincent Crane (21 May 1943 – 14 February 1989), originally with British drummer Carl Palmer, after Crane left The Crazy World of Arthur Brown which he had co-founded in 1966.
