"Awakening" is a song by AURORA, released on May 5, 2013 as her first official song. It was later included as an extra track on the vinyl version of her debut extended play Running With The Wolves with a 2015 Version. AURORA wrote this song when she was 15 or 14 and first recorded it when she was 16. She recounted producing it together with Odd Martin Skålnes. An early version of the song was published on P3 Urørt (a site for Norwegian unsigned artists) on April 16, 2013 and on SoundCloud the following month.
