He is one of the main vocalists of South Korean-Chinese boy group EXO and its sub-unit EXO-CBX. In 2019, Baekhyun became a leader of the supergroup SuperM . He attended Jungwon High School, where he was the lead singer in a school band called 혼수상태 (rom.: honsusangtae; eng.: comatose state) and attended several musical festivals, later winning an award at a local rock festival.
