Bidossessi was born in 1978 in Treichville, Ivory Coast. He is a Benin citizen. He took up guitar and keyboard at about 14. He started composing his first tunes while in film school, at 20. Bidossessi cannot really be categorized into a specific music style. His influences ranges from blues to reggae to japanese pop to alternative rock, although a recurrent theme could be smooth jazz.
