Big Jay the Drummer Boi, was born on July 21, 1989 in Atlanta, Ga. At the age of 2, he started playing the drums. At 4yrs, he was playing publicly. By age 9, he was playing behind professional jazz musicians by the names of Vince Bloomfield, and Beverly Barkley. Timmy Thomas was to thank for that. In middle school he started playing in the Clarkston High School Marching Band’s low brass section, but at the same time he was still playing the drums for various Baptist churches.
