The Borodin Trio was formed in 1976 by Rostislav Dubinsky (1923-97) (violin), Luba Edlina (piano), and Yuli Turovsky (1939–2013) (cello), after the three members emigrated from the Soviet Union to America and Canada. The trio toured widely in Europe, America, and Australia and made many recordings on the Chandos label. Several of their recordings were the first Compact Disc recordings of famous works for piano trio. They played classical music, especially works by Russian composers.
