Gradually Going Tornado is the third solo album by drummer Bill Bruford and second and final album by his group Bruford. It was co-produced by Weather Report collaborator Ron Malo. The music on the album features a heavier progressive rock oriented sound, with more of Bruford's lyrics included than on the two previous albums, here sung by bassist Jeff Berlin. The album's closing track ("Land's End") includes music keyboardist Dave Stewart previously composed for the National Health album Of Queues and Cures (1978).
