Cato Sanden (born 20 February 1954 in Bergen; died: 3 May 2005 in Askøy) was a Norwegian musician. From 1974 to 2005, he was a member of country rock band Flying Norwegians. In 1984 , he released his debut solo album "Cato Sanden" after Åge Aleksandersen convinced him that he had good enough song material for this. For this he won the Spellemann Prize 1984 in the roots & country class. Later, Sanden released a number of albums and received several gold records.
