Chatham Baroque is a Pittsburgh-based ensamble specializing in 17th and 18th century music played on period instruments. Its distinctive sound integrates one or two baroque violins, a viola da gamba and a theorbo, lute or a baroque guitar. Founded in 1990, the ensamble has recorded seven CDs on the Dorian label. A number of guest artists appear on these recordings.
