"Bang Bang (My Baby Shot Me Down)" was written by Cher's husband Sonny Bono. In 1966, Cher released it as the second single from the album The Sonny Side of Cher. It reached No. 3 in the UK Singles Chart and No. 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 for a week eventually becoming one of Cher's biggest-selling singles of the 1960s.
