This song is about the murder of Pier Paolo Pasolini, an Italian intellectual, activist, poet, writer and director best known for his movie Salo, Or The 120 Days Of Sodom. He was brutally beaten, run over repeatedly with his own car, and set on fire postmortem in Ostia, Italy. Giuseppe Pelosi confessed to the homicide, but retracted his claims decades later. The murder has long been believed to be a revenge killing with multiple perpetrators, although many aspects of the case remain a mystery.
