Cordisto was the name of the alternative rock band that Alistair Hamer, Tim Elsenburg, and Anthony Bishop were in before they disbanded it and re-formed as Sweet Billy Pilgrim. Originally a four piece, founder member Dan Peel left in 2000 with drummer David Picking to explore a more experimental sound that infused samples and post rock. Alistair replaced David on drums and the band continued as a power trio until around 2003.
