Born in the eastend of London, Bethnal Green. Son of Ernest Albert Costin and Rossetta Grace Costin. Played Piano from the age of seven and picked up drums at the age of ten. played in various School bands, of which one "Bluewind", a jazz rock outfit, was to develope his skills and passion as a player.
