David LaFlamme (born in New Britain, Connecticut, on 4 May 1941; died 7 August 2023) was an American singer and violinist remembered for co-founding It's a Beautiful Day. LaFlamme began studying violin at the age of five and later won a competition to perform as soloist with the Utah Symphony Orchestra. During the 1960s he performed with a wide variety of notable San Francisco acts, such as Jerry Garcia and Janis Joplin.
