Derek Lotek uses a collection of vintage drum machines, synth boxes, circuit bent toys and guitar pedals to make lo-fi music varying from wistful cheesy instrumentals to hardcore noise. Drawing influence from years of club crawling, warehouse party promoting and djing, Derek's music tends to sound like a dj at work in a club complete with a healthy dose of room tone and other-dimensional inner ear noise mangling.
