The Eagles are an American rock band formed in Los Angeles in 1971. The original lineup consisted of Glenn Frey, Don Henley, Bernie Leadon, and Randy Meisner, who had all previously performed with Linda Ronstadt, contributing to her 1972 self-titled album.
