Eddie Bert (Edward Joseph Bertolatus, May 16, 1922 – September 28, 2012) was an American jazz trombonist. Bert was born in Yonkers, New York. His first job as a musician came in 1940 when he joined the Sam Donahue Orchestra, and then joined Red Norvo in 1941. He performed continually with leading musicians including Stan Kenton , Benny Goodman', Charles Mingus, Charlie Parker, Thelonious Monk, Tito Puente, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, Illinois Jacquet, Thad Jones-Mel Lewis Orchestra, Woody Herman, and Charlie Barnett.
