Formed in 2006 as 'The Maddisons' by school friends Harry Burgess, Charlie Brinkley, Rob Searl and Nathan Griffiths, they drew influence from QOTSA, Manic Street Preachers and Cave-In. They received praise for their energetic live performances and the lyrical content of their songs.
