Eldon Fox is an Australian cellist. After WWII he was appointed principal cellist in the South Australian Symphony Orchestra under Sir John Barbarolli. In 1951 he came to Europe to study with Pablo Casals. He later became principal cellist with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and continued his professional career until retiring at the age of 80. Incidentally, he played on I Am The Walrus by The Beatles.
