Freedom is a song written by Stevie Nicks and Mike Campbell and recorded by Nicks with Fleetwood Mac for their 1990 album Behind the Mask (album). Mike Campbell, at the time, was lead guitarist with Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Campbell and Nicks had already written songs together that had featured on her solo albums Rock a Little (1985) and The Other Side of the Mirror (1989) which he played on, but to date this is the only song on a Fleetwood Mac album to afford a writing credit to Campbell who would ultimately join Fleetwood Mac in 2018.
